Me, Myself and I

When writing about me and the interests I have it becomes a bit of a task. The task is not finding things to write about but rather narrowing down the information I add to the paper. I have a tendency to write freely and add all the information that comes to mind rather than beginning with an outline. I scour all the information I can find, pouring together all the information I have located and have a tendency of losing the main idea. In the future, I shall outline my thoughts and remain in the same thought throughout the entire paper.
Myself as a writer, I am comfortable. I do not have a problem doing the research. Nor do I dread the idea of researching a new topic. I look forward to the research and gaining the new knowledge. By gaining the knowledge I am able to move forward on topic and know I am on track with the information I am writing about in my essay. My comfort level is high on topics I am already knowledgable. But, comfort level on new topics is not as high. I feel I must look at the new topic form every possible angle and research until I have developed a mid-reange comfort level.
I am looking forward to completing my essays that must be written for this semester. My hopes are that it will help me in my future. The ways I am hoping it will help is to aid me in getting my thought processes put together. I will grow into having the ability to write items in the correct order and support my claim.

  1. Your approach to research is EXACTLY what I wish for my students. I share this love. When I'm not forced to research topics that mean little to me, I enjoy digging into new ideas, terms, expert opinions, etc. For example, right now I'm interested in the Freecycle movement. So, I'm excited to start looking into it...

    Information is POWER.
