Consider for a moment what "going green" means to a person working in the medical field. When companies go green ataff is reduced and it makes job openings more limited. The new healthcare reform could potentially limit jobs also. By makiong medical insurance available to all and cutting medical costs, I see less jobs in the future and possible loweer pay.
As a nursing student I am concerned about how each will effect my future. Will there be openings for all of us graduating from the program? I hope so, all of us have worked hard to get to where we are and look forward to beginning our career as a registered nurse. Methodist decided a few years ago to go green and that cost around 106 nurses their jobs. The remodeling Methodist did made units more ergonomically friendly which meant less staff was needed per unit. Now add the new healthcare reform with medical costs being cut, it makes one wonder how many more jobs will be lost. Methodist is not the only hospital making cuts, it is happening in all hospitals nationwide.
I agree all people should have affordable healthcare and that costs in healthcare have sky rocketed over the years. But, how will all these things meant to be good affect those of us working toward a degree in the medical field?

Me, Myself and I
When writing about me and the interests I have it becomes a bit of a task. The task is not finding things to write about but rather narrowing down the information I add to the paper. I have a tendency to write freely and add all the information that comes to mind rather than beginning with an outline. I scour all the information I can find, pouring together all the information I have located and have a tendency of losing the main idea. In the future, I shall outline my thoughts and remain in the same thought throughout the entire paper.
Myself as a writer, I am comfortable. I do not have a problem doing the research. Nor do I dread the idea of researching a new topic. I look forward to the research and gaining the new knowledge. By gaining the knowledge I am able to move forward on topic and know I am on track with the information I am writing about in my essay. My comfort level is high on topics I am already knowledgable. But, comfort level on new topics is not as high. I feel I must look at the new topic form every possible angle and research until I have developed a mid-reange comfort level.
I am looking forward to completing my essays that must be written for this semester. My hopes are that it will help me in my future. The ways I am hoping it will help is to aid me in getting my thought processes put together. I will grow into having the ability to write items in the correct order and support my claim.

Rebellion or Reinvention
The question at hand is do teens really reinvent themselves between the ages of
12-18. Some sociologists say it is a patternin life others a rebellion. But which is the truth and is there anything wrong with either one?
Zack is a 17-year-old senior in high school. He has recently decided to reinvent himself and his social life. Zackariah ahs changed his way of thinking, declared independence, lost weight, changed his style of dress, and has reinvented himself. Although he now has a social life that is active he claims he still feels empty and sometimes lost. his time soent away from home has increased in order to keep up with his fast moving friends. It has taken him two months to realize he needs more time at home. The good news is he is a good boy and does what he should. He has a girlfriend and is learning about relationships. Zackariah made changes for himself, personal growth is an important step in life and he is learning as he grows.
Martin is a 19-year old freshman and says he went through some og the same changes as Zack. He was declaring his independence and working toward the man he would like to be in the future. Dating a new girl he really liked seemed to change his priorities in a positive way. He wanted to be more so he could have more to offer to her. Some changes he has made are being more involved with homeework and learning to delegate time a little better.
Anastazia is a 15-year-old high school freshman, and is very independent. Annie has made many big decisions in her young life that she felt would benefit her in the present and the future. She knows what she is good at and focuses on those things. Her style of dress and her style as a person changes as she grows and learns. She has set goals in life that are clear cut and she has a plan. Annie intelligent and loves to read, she is not afraid to admit her likes or her dislikes. She is a part of a group of girls she spends time with when she can and they are all precise like her.
It seems all children must find themselves, so to speak, but for the most part they need to spread their wings and learn to fly so they can soar. All three of these children have found their footing and are moving forward. Each has changed over time, with new ways of thinking, expresssing themselves, dressing, and being themselves. They are a wonderful group of young people and will accomplish what they set out to do because they have been allowed to grow and have been supported on their new growth. They are reinventing themselves and seeing to having their needs met, they are becoming the adults they want to be.
